Neilson Library - Smith College
One of the most iconic buildings on the Smith College Campus, the Neilson Library is being transformed into a 21st century intellectual hub while still maintaining the original historic pride that comes with the 1909 building. The “New” library will include 137,000 SF of renovated space used to house collections, seating, staff functions, teaching, learning and technology programs, a café, special collections and archives exhibit area, and an event and gathering space. Overall construction cost is estimated to be around $100 million.
